Vic's 40th Birthday!

Vic told me he wanted a BIG celebration for his 40th birthday party.  I started throwing out big ideas like renting out comedy clubs, hotel ballrooms, condos, etc. and he didn't like the price tag that came with them so he settled for a weekend in Island Park with his parents and brother's family.  We had an action packed weekend with travel to West Yellowstone, snow play, and lots of games.  On his actual birthday, he worked until 7pm!!

Cancun Day 3,4 Fancy Resort- Secrets Akamul

We checked into our all-inclusive hotel first thing in the morning so we could enjoy a full day of the resort before our coworkers joined us.  Our hotel room had it's own swim out pool off the patio.  It was SOOO wonderful and one of our favorite things.  We'd come back from the beach feeling salty and jump into our pool before taking a bath in our giant soaker jet tub.  We ate breakfast out there by it and hung out with our friends out there too.

 Since we were all by ourselves, I made Vic's dreams come true by wearing a bikini for the day!

 Vic ordered every kind of ice cream for his first meal.  He's so funny when it comes to gourmet buffets!

 We ate at a French restauraunt our first night and had the best service and food.  We loved dressing up at night and having the entertainment.  It was perfectly romantic!  Our favorite vacation yet!

 On day 4 we got up early to go snorkel with the sea turtles and spent most of the day swimming on the beach.  Then got dressed up for Mexican night and got to do a little street shopping right at the resort.  Those boys sure know how to haggle!

Xplor Cancun

Xplor was our favorite day of vacation!  I liked the underground kayaks best and Vic liked the underground swimming cave.  I thought I'd be freaked out by the water and not do it, but they had lots of lights to show you how clean and clear the water was.  We had so much fun acting like kids, it was the perfect way to start our vacation and so nice not to have the kids along so we could be ourselves.  Sometimes I forget how fun we can be because we are always in parent mode.

 Everywhere we went was worth taking a million pictures. It was SO beautiful on all the walking paths and resting areas!

 We liked zip-lining, but we both had more fun on this funny little hammock zip-line.
