St. Louis Arch & City Museum

Becky needed surgery so we took all 6 kids to see the Gateway Arch, the City Museum, & Ted Drewes ice cream.

The City Museum was a pretty wild place that was impossible to keep track of the kids!  We made them pair up because they'd go down a hole in the ground and come out on a floor above or below them!

They had a huge slide that made me so dizzy I couldn't stand up afterwards!

The place was full of hidden caves with tons of attention to the detail of stone, lighting, & tile work.

It was hard to get 4 girls to leave a craft room!

St. Louis Zoo & Park Day

Ben's kids had school on Monday so we headed out to see the zoo and as much as we could.  We ended up not having enough time to see the museums or a few parks we had on our list.  The kids loved being at a large zoo with lots of interesting animals and fun Christmas scenes to pose with.

My favorite part was what a beautiful fall it was here.  There are so many trees and so much more color than in Idaho!

St. Louis is famous for Ted Drewes custard and it is well worth the drive over to it.  We loved their ice cream!
I love funky art so we went to a sculpture park full of recycled items and giant sculptures.

Six Flags St. Louis

We arrived in St. Louis late our first night.  The next day we went to a couple of parks with the kids, then we all went to Frozen 2 and played games. (I didn't take any pictures that first day!)  The second day we went to another park during the day and in the afternoon went to Six Flags.  I LOVED all of the Christmas decorations out and the kids loved the rides.  We were so happy to be wearing short sleeves in November!!

November Happenings

November flew by!  We had Tucker's basketball & art, Whitney's dance, Tommy's basketball & school play, and Nutcracker rehearsals for all three.  On top of that, I was trying to get all my shopping and decorating for Christmas done because we went to St. Louis over Thanksgiving break.

Halloween

Halloween was a super busy day!  Tucker had a program at the school and I helped out with their class parties.  After school we decorated the front porch to be spooky and carved a pumpkin.  For dinner we made pizza monsters and then the kids and I headed out to trick-or-treat.  It was extra cold this year so there was way less trick-or-treaters and people were handing out hand fulls of candy.  We didn't make it as far as we did last year and the kids got way more candy.  We packed it all up and it filled an entire suitcase!!
