October was a crazy busy month! Here is an update of our non-Halloween happenings!
We went with Whitney's preschool to tour a pizza restaurant and make their own pizza from scratch, even the dough!
Tucker was delighted to be included. Tommy was happy for the pizza, but he'd done this field trip last year so not as exciting for him.
Whitney also had firemen come give her preschool a tour of their truck and teach them fire safety.
Whitney is so proud to have started to read and be able to sound out words with the BOB books!
We've had "Real Pirates" at our museum for months, but I waited until October to go along with the spooky Halloween theme. I was worried it would be too many facts because nothing was hands on for kids, but the kids seemed to have really liked it.
My cute pirates!
My dad took me on an airplane ride around south east Idaho & I loved it!!!
We started off by heading north right over his house. Here is a picture of his house & fields.
and another one a bit closer of all his horse areas and many sheds! It was fun to see it from above.
Right after that we followed the river a ways. It was a beautiful morning and the light was mirroring off the river to make it look like a beautiful silver thread.
I couldn't help not taking a selfie! :)
Here we are near Ashton Hill.
We went over Driggs and had a beautiful view of the Tetons!
It was kind of hard to hear over the headset, but Dad had lots of great stories about the places we were flying over. That made it a lot more entertaining. Below is a picture where his Grandpa lived?! I need to get that story better & type it up!!
After that we were by Swan Valley & Wolverine Canyon. It is amazing we have such beautiful places within 30 minutes of us!!!!
and then we ended the flight by flying right over my neighborhood! That little arrow points to our house and the 3 greens around it is where we spend A LOT of our time!!
The next week we went out to Dad's house and surprised the kids with his new toy... Here is Tucker & Dad. Dad was most excited to take Tommy out on his 4 wheeler, but Whitney & Tucker insisted they got their fair share too! They all had a blast and if horses and tractors wasn't enough to put him at the top of the Grandpa list.... this made sure he stayed there, ha! The simplicity of little kids!

Tucker has been working on potty training for quite awhile and finally filled up his chart so I took him on a date to the donut shop!
We both took time off work to go to Boise to fix up our house we've been renting the last 8 years. Vic put in this pretty wood floor and I repainted everywhere and cleaned. It was an exhausting long week! We then finally put it for sale for $20,000 less than we bought it for. It hurt to do, but I am so glad to be done with it and I'm happy the market has finally increased to where it is now!
