Thanksgiving Day

One of my favorite past memories of Thanksgiving is running a 5k on Thanksgiving morning so this year we did it again!
Vic, Tommy, Whitney, & I did a 5K walk/jog.  My mom, Amber's boys, & Tucker did the 5K walk, Mark & Ivy did the 1 mile walk, & Shaun & Amber did the 10K.
Here is everyone excited to start.  Tommy wanted to run more than Whitney so half way through they left us in the dust.  I kept trying to push Whitney through her side ache and get her to run off and on & near the end we passed Tommy & Vic!  That got both of their competitive drive going and we all ran the last quarter mile in a race!  We pretty much tied in the end!
After the busy morning, we had a relaxing afternoon watching the Macy Day parade.  Whitney was really cute getting everyone to dance with the dancers on screen.
I made a light "turkey" sandwich lunch.
Around 3 o'clock we went to Amber's paint studio to have dinner with her in-laws and workers.

I made waaaay to many desserts for everyone!  Dinner was so good that no one had room for dessert!

After dinner, we took turns running to a few stores for Black Friday deals and then played games until 10:30 and went home to bed.

November Happenings

We flipped 2 houses and 1 unit and landscaping of a 4plex all in November.  We worked soooo hard!  We had the kids help with paint and we were working away and I went to check on Tommy and he painted this on the wall.... "I heart mommy".  It made me laugh that even when we put our 7 year old to work, he's busy thinking about loving us!  When Tucker and Whitney saw me loving on Tommy's paint job, they decided to write similar messages!

Whitney was thrilled to be spotlighted in her classroom.
For Show & Tell, she got Grandma Van Sickle to bring her cat and dog.  Samson was a huge hit with not only her class, but all the kids coming out to recess.  He did pretty good with so many hands attacking him!
Whitney & Tucker continue to find trouble and messes.  No idea why they thought it'd be a good idea to cover themselves in baby powder!
Tucker loves his new best friend Dakota, he could care less that she is a girl, but Dakota is sure she is going to marry Tucker!
Field trip to Pizza Pie Cafe.
 Tommy & his classmates
Tommy works so hard at homework and it pays off for him his test scores ranked 3 grades above him!

With all the madness, I wanted to document Tucker's childhood bedroom before it changed.  He has a Paw Patrol village lining his whole room!
