Easter Sunday

We celebrated Easter Sunday at my mom's house.
Since I found the boys matching blue outfits, I decided to have us all be blue this year & I really liked it!
Group Picture w/ Mom & Amber's family
Here are all of the cousins at the start line of their hunt.
I thought it was funny that all of them sprinted off in different directions passing up lots of eggs on the way.  It made it hard to get any pictures of the hunt!
Mark got this picture of Whitney, pretty princess in the wind! I like it!
I think there was too much going on & Tucker needed a bit more coaching this time.
I helped Tommy find the last of the eggs.
As soon as we found the 2 motorized cars, Tucker deemed this one his & took off.  I didn't think he was big enough, but he LOVES it!  He will zoom all the way down the street & not even care if we are by him.  It is so funny to see such a small baby driving it.
Tommy has decided he can climb anything now days... hope that doesn't mean broken legs & arms are right around the corner!
Tucker always trying to be like big brother!
Our loot! It's weird to see our family grow and all of the extra baskets!
My favorite part of Easter: the madness in the front room as everyone eagerly digs through their finds.

This light up, chirping chick was the prized toy this Easter.
Mr. Smiley was quite pleased to find yogurt bites in his eggs.

We all had a great time & thanks to Mom I didn't have to do much.... thanks Mom!

Easter Time!

I didn't want to skip all the kid's Easter activities after we all had a rough couple of weeks so I crammed a month worth of Easter activities & crafting into one weekend!

Vic's assistant at work made these adorable bunny treats for us.
Tommy loved his so much that  he never ate it!
I had found super cute treasure eggs at the store so we had a mini hunt to get the kids excited.  They thought they had to have their ears on to do a hunt :)

I thought Tucker would've needed more coaching, but he happily filled his bucket with eggs.

I took the kids to a couple of city hunts.  I'm not sure if I'll do it again.  I think the kids had fun, but it was too distressing for me to see all of those crazy parents swiping up all of the eggs instead of letting the kids pick them all up!  The 1st hunt had a ton of eggs so everyone made out with at least 10 eggs.
....and got to get a picture with the Easter bunny!
The 2nd hunt Tucker kept crossing the line & I wish I'd just have let him go for it because once they blew the horn he didn't get a single one even though he was in the 1-2 year old circle (thanks to greedy parents again!)

That night we made felt place mats that took us a lot longer than I thought they were going to, but they turned out pretty cute!
Then we didn't even start dying eggs until 10:30pm... had to get it in before the Easter bunny came!  I thought it was funny that mainly Tommy ended up with a bunch of blue eggs & Whitney a bunch of pink eggs.  They definitely stay true to their favorite colors.
Close up of them all finished: lots of stickers & scribbles! :)

Tommy's 1st Obstacle Course Race

I was supposed to do my first 10K the weekend after Vic got home from the hospital, but since I didn't work out for 3 weeks I passed.  However, I didn't want Tommy to miss out so even though it was pouring rain we still went.  I was impressed with the course, but because of the rain it was crazy muddy so it became more of a mud run than an obstacle course... which was a bit hard for my Mr. Clean!
Most kids crawled right through mud, but Tommy made sure to avoid the mud as much as possible!

He had lots of different arrangements of mud hills or hay hills to climb over.

This one he had to lift the tires from one cone to the next, but he wasn't quite strong enough yet!
This was a covered hay maze they had to crawl through & Tommy probably had the fastest time through it because most of the kids crawled & he was small enough he just bent over & zoomed through. I could see all of the kids through the top of the tarp so it was funny to see how fast he was going compared to the rest.
Here he is on the last leg.  He really rushed & panicked his way through it.  It was hard for him to continue to have older kids passing him up as he thinks he is truly the fastest kid in the whole entire world!
I must say he had some cute fans cheering him on!
At the finish line they handed Tommy a medal for completing & he ran around telling everyone he won a trophy because he was the fastest 4 year old alive!  He is so proud of it.  Also, he won that football in the raffle afterwards.  I have yet to time his mile, but he can run it faster than me!

Temple Square

While Victor was in the hospital I was glued to his side the 1st week both day & night, but the 2nd week I got to stay w/ a friend right across the street from temple square.  I was so lucky that I got to see all of the spring flowers in full bloom to cheer me up!  After 2 full weeks when Vic was feeling better my mom brought the kids down to see him.  On Sunday I brought them to Temple Square.

My little travel troopers!  They were entrusted with several different drivers while we were in the hospital!

Hogle Zoo

After the kids had been down to Salt Lake a couple of days we took them to Hogle Zoo to get all of their wiggles out.
Tucker was really good about staying in the stroller & loving his view.  He's point like crazy when he liked something.
The rhinos were my favorite because they dumped their food right in front of the window & we got a nice long close up view of them.
Tommy is getting to the age where he finally wants to check out how big he is next to the animals & is asking lots of questions about the animals.
I think Tommy liked the sea lion exhibit best, but he says he liked the giraffes.
Getting eaten by a lion!  This was one of my favorite pictures as a kid!
This guy gave us quite the show with his mouth wide open for a long time.
Tommy wanted to hang out & rest on this elephant for quite awhile.
So of course Tucker & Whitney had to copy!
I bribed the kids to be good the whole time with a merry-go-round ride at the end.

I was SO glad to have the kids back with me!  Thanks to Mom for making it possible to see them & still spend time with Vic.
