Whitney's Ariel Birthday Party!

Whitney turned 4!!!  She has been counting down the days since Tucker's birthday in February & I was so glad when she chose Ariel for her party.  It was fun to get away from pink for a year :)  Last minute she decided she wanted a Frozen party because that is what all of their friends were having, but she was easily swayed back to Ariel!  We let her open her new Ariel princess dress in the morning & then her & I went shopping and to a "super fancy" bridal shower.  She loved all the activities & she got endless compliments on her princess attire.
When guests arrived we had them put on their shell crown & enter under the sea through these tablecloths.  The kids loved running back & forth through it even though we had a few accidents.
Those little jelly fish were kind of a last minute idea, but they ended up being one of my favorite!  I also made a bunch of balloons into fish by drawing faces & adding fins.  The kids really loved them & won't let me get rid of them!
The kids liked the entry streamers so much that I decided to put them around the table too.
This was my FIRST fondant cake!!! I am so proud of it.  It turned out really pretty!
I was learning as I went so it took me FIVE hours!!  At least this time I felt pretty good about the end result :)
At the party we had the kids make a mermaid craft until they all got there for cake & ice cream.

Party kids: Kenya, Jasmine, Whitney, Addalyn, Tommy, Jerrick, Ayvree, Araeya, & Tucker
And since it was an Ariel party, all the little mermaid friends needed to go swimming!
Here they are right before finding the "lost treasure".  We also did a relay race & "catch the evil sea witch".  The kids had a blast & could have kept going for quite awhile longer!
I couldn't believe how much stuff Whitney got this year!  She said her favorite present was her remote control Ariel.  I should have guessed since she is always quite jealous of the boys' remote control cars.  She was a cute birthday girl that was tickled pink & excited all day.  At night we watched a family movie & she wanted to watch it twice just so her special day wouldn't end :)

Easter

We had a fun Easter weekend packed with lots of activities!
Saturday morning we went to the city Easter Egg hunt to see the bunny.
Here they are in the middle of craziness.
In the afternoon we took them to a park near our house for another quick hunt.
It looked like there was a lot of eggs for all of the kids, but Whitney only managed to get 2!
Saturday night we dyed our eggs.  Tucker did almost all orange eggs, Whitney did pink, & Tommy did blue.  They're funny how they like to stick to the same thing over & over.  Vic & I tried to do a few different ones to shoe them variety!

We hosted Mom & Mark for Easter breakfast.  The table turned out super cute :)
I dipped the egg whites in food coloring for about 5 seconds to make them prettier!
We had enough food for an army!  (We still have pancakes in our fridge 2 weeks later!)

After breakfast we went down by the river to get our pictures taken in our matching Easter colors.

While we were gone the Easter bunny came!
We had some fun new ones stuck on the fence, house, & hung in the trees :)

The rice crispy eggs had a little surprise in them this year :)
We went to Twin Falls for the Sutherland's dinner celebration.  We brought this cute bunnies in dirt dessert & layered jell-o.  I was shocked there was leftovers, but there was a lot of desserts this time.
The little kids did an egg hunt together.
Tucker & Ian wouldn't leave poor Grandpa's dog alone.  I think these two will be trouble if they are close friends when they are older, they are both so mischievous!

March Happenings

March was crazy busy for us!  Vic's parents came to visit for 2 weeks & then they helped watch the kids while we went to Hawaii!
It was amazing & I could only narrow it down to 230 pictures!  I won't post that many here, just a super quick recap! :)
We saw the most fish we'd ever seen snorkeling in Oahu. It was amazing!

We went on 5 hikes on Oahu & this was my favorite view.  It was so pretty everywhere!

Our last night on Oahu we went to a luau & fire show. The fire show was pretty cool.

I really liked Oahu, but Vic fell in love with Kauai because of our hike in the Napali mountains.  It was by far the hike of our lifetime!  It was amazing, long, steep, wet, & gorgeous.  We even had a wild boar come up on us.  I was scared to death because it was getting late & there was no one else around.  We ended the hike in pitch darkness because it took us so long!

When we got back Tommy's loose tooth was barely hanging on so I pulled it out.  He was SO excited for the tooth fairy to come.  She even left him a note with pixie dust.

We were headed to my mom's house for Sunday dinner & the boys wanted to wear their matching shirts so I had to take a quick picture of our matching family. :)
During Tommy's spring break we took the kids to the new Artitorium in town.  They made a few pictures both with crafts & with digital photoshop programs.
They loved the video screens where they could be silly.

It was a really cute place, but it is super small so it was a kind of quick trip!
Mom wants to go to Disneyland for her 60th birthday so I did a Disney theme for her party with Pam, us, & Evan.
