Halloween Party

Tommy was so excited for Halloween & kept talking about having a party & I didn't want to let him down so we had a little party! :)  ....and I might have a thing for parties as well! :)

Here is our full crew of Jake & the Neverland Pirates.  We were so happy to have Grandma & Grandpa part of the group!
Here is all of the adults' costumes: Nielsons, Van Sickles, Sutherlands, Birch, & Drapers.
Kids: Ivy, Addalyn, Whitney, Jasmine, Kenya, Tucker, Will, Sam, & Tommy
We made lots of fun Halloween themed food for the party!

I had clear cups & everyone had a different pumpkin face
Mom made these meatball spiders.
 Lois brought the fun fruit.

 Nicole made mummies.
After dinner we all split up to go trick-or-treating.  The weather was SO nice!  Notice Tucker & Whitney have no layers on at all!  That is how every Halloween should be!
 Cute cousins
We tried to hit as many fun houses as we could, which reminds me I forgot to get a picture of our front porch. We added lots of fun things this year because the kids love it so much!
After trick-or-treating we met back at my house for games.
Here we are doing the mummy race.
Vic was determined to be win the race, but Whitney didn't look like a mummy at all... more like he kidnapped her!
Amber & I took much more time making our little guys look like mummies :)
Mom did a cake walk for the kids.  They won Halloween toys instead of cake since they already got candy!
Lois did bobbing for apples.  Her & her husband were the only adult sports to do it!  I just hate getting wet so I skipped it, plus I've done it before & it is hard!
The kids all thought it was pretty great.
 Tucker especially loved it.
He was so proud of getting it out by the stem & everyone clapped for him so of course he wanted to do it over & over! :)
At the end we all took turns telling spooky stories.  It was way past the kids bed time by time we were done so good thing it was on a Friday night!
Overall, it was a great month & a really fun Halloween! :D

CUTE Costumes!

Tommy wanted to be Jake from the Neverland Pirates this year & Whitney already had a Tinkerbell costume so it inspired me to do a family theme.  I've wanted to do that since Tommy was a baby!
Tommy's costume was all store bought because when I was making everyone else's he kept critiquing me on the slightest details so I figures I'd rather buy his than attempt it!
I made her leaf bow, wand, & shoes to match.
I made his shirt & hat
 I made Vic's vest
We went to Boo at the Zoo & won a free pizza for best family themed costumes :)
I am Jake's green parrot, Skully, if you can't tell!
I loved seeing all of the really good costumes at the contest & then to be able to see all of the animals active at night & have lots of cook lights everywhere!  If that was Halloween, I would have been happy with that!
We also went to another trick-or-treat activity & it was cold so I dressed the kids up in trains.
They were so cute!

Cornbelly's: Halloween on Steroids!

We went down to Thanksgiving Point to have some Harvest Fun!
We did trick-or-treating in the corn maze & the kids were excited to find different characters waiting for them.  Here was Whitney's favorite.
Tommy was most excited about any kind of wagon or tractor ride.
 Princess Play Land

 Hillbilly land!
Very creative swings all made from old tires
 milking cows
Tommy said these slides that were throughout the park were his favorite.  They had all different wooden cars like ships, tractors, fire engines, etc.
 Big Bounce Houses & slides
 little bounce houses
Giant bounce mat. This was pretty cool.
Digging in the dirt... we all got pretty dirty!
 All sorts of mazes

Vic got picked to pick a pig to bet on & his pig won so we got the little rubber pig Tommy was holding & a gift certificate to a pizza place.
 Singing animals
Duck Races: this was Whitney's favorite
Corn Kernel Sand Pit.  This stuff was crazy because you sank a good six inches so I felt like the kids swam everywhere when they tried to crawl around.  They loved it & could have stayed much longer.

I was surprised Whitney let all these boys bury her especially because they dumped it all over her head.
This night ride through one of the corn mazes had impressive Jack-O-lanterns all through the trail
This crazy box was a "rat race" & it took them forever to get through.  I was worried Whitney was going to panic, but she loved it thank goodness!
They did fireworks toward the end of the night too.  This place had it ALL!!
The kids had a blast & we'll definitely be going again! :)
