January Happenings- Vic's Birthday

I had to work on Vic's 39th birthday so my mom took over birthday dinner and fruit pizza for him.  She also had all the kids make him giant paper cakes and cards.  Then my mom watched the kids for us so we could go to Jackson Hole together for Vic's birthday.  It was so magical!  It snowed  and snowed and Jackson is the cutest snow place.  We stayed in the Wort Hotel downtown, ate a nice dinner and breakfast, went to my favorite chocolate shop, and went cross country skiing.  I grew up cross country skiing, but to my surprise, this was Vic's first time!  I couldn't believe it had been 14 years since I'd gone!

We both worked a bunch in January so it seemed like it flew by.  We enrolled both the boys in winter basketball league. We coached Tommy's team.  This was Tucker's first team of all kindergartners and he was the only one on the court that knew what he was doing so he always got the ball.

Vic and I coached the easy league and Tommy was a rock star at it.  We signed him up for a hard league at the same time and he didn't like it as much because they are now allowed to foul.  Even in the hard league he is one of the best at getting rebounds.  I wish he loved it as much as I love watching him!
Tommy's derby car came in last place every time last year so this year I ordered a pre-cut car.  It did much better, but Vic  still put the wheels on crooked so it didn't win every time, but it did good so Tommy was much happier.
We had an extra car so Whitney & Tucker colored the straight block and were excited to race theirs at the end.
