July Happenings

We had a wonderful 4th of July weekend.  The day before we went boating with the Wheelers at Ririe Reservoir and the day of the 4th we started the day by going to the parade where I lost my toenail.  It was so painful so I took the rest of the day pretty easy.  We spent the afternoon at our close friend's house, the Drapers.  We then rode our bikes down to the river for fireworks. A simple, but traditional and fun day!

We had Tommy's team play all the way into August!  We had a great team this year with a lot of Tommy's good friends, but it was way too long of a season!  We had a big team and always creamed the other teams.  We'll have to play a much harder league next year! Whitney played her first all girls softball team with someone else as the coach and she did really good.  She behaves much better and is much tougher for other adults!  Tucker finished his league as well.  He had an adorable team that went undefeated as well.

Tommy, Russel, & Charlie swimming after a baseball game.
Whitney had been so grumpy this summer, but then she shows me her sweet little heart when I find wrapped presents like this for her brother in the refrigerator!
Vic's niece, Whitney, came to job shadow him for a week so we took her out boating after work one night.  It's fun to get out on the water on a work day.
We also took his niece to a Chukars game and met our friends the Kelseys there.

Yellowstone and Sutherland Reunion

Vic's had a mega family reunion with all of his mom's siblings and his cousins up in Montana, just past Yellowstone.  It was a long ways to go so we stayed in Island Park on the way up and toured Yellowstone on the way there and on the way back.

They had a campfire and dinner on the first day up there (I wasn't very good about getting a lot of pictures).  The second day we went on a hike in the morning and played their Scotland games in the afternoon.

The 3rd day the women had to keep the kids distracted with duck races in the stream and games around the cabin while the rest worked on staining their grandpa's cabin.  It took from 9am-2pm.

Vic's sister organized a carnival for all the little kids.  My station was partner yoga so the adults could join in.

We toured Yellowstone on the way back and saw a moose and a bear!  Then we went to the Bear & Wolf Discovery Center to break up the drive.
